drunk conner

a form of desperate seduction when under the influence of alcohol. not to be confused with an angry willis, the drunk conner is done with the use of a cell phone. the person utilizing the drunk conner first steals the cell phone of his target and purposely calls his own phone to secretively get the girl's number. then, at the end of the night, the seducer texts the target,"you're hot," as a last ditch effort to get some but ultimately fails.

Guy: Hey can I have your number?
Girl: No
(Guy discretely takes girl's phone and dials his own phone to get her number)
At the end of the night...
(Girl receives text message)
Girl: I got a text message!
Girl#2: What does it say!?
Girl: YOU'RE HOT
Girl#2: Oh no, looks like he just a pulled a drunk conner on you

xbox connect

A program that you can use to avoid using xbox live to play online by "tricking" your xbox into thinking it's playing a system link game with someone. It sounds good at first: I mean Halo 1 online? cool, right? no. this entire community is overrun with the lowest of the low. Poor nerds, mostly hispanic, which accounts for the god-awful amount of lag. Apparently it's legal, but I have no idea how...

Coined

A common missconception is that to 'Coin' a phrase means that you are the first person say/write a phrase that is then adopted by the general public.

In fact, to 'coin a phrase' is the first person to earn a buck from it - for example: in the press.

"When you come down to 'brass tacks' - if we may be allowed the expression - everybody is governed by selfishness."

All of the other known early citations either originate in, or refer to, Texas. It is reasonable to assume that the phrase was coined there, in or about the 1860s.

Connected Generation

You've heard of 'Gen X,' 'Baby Boomers', and the 'Greatest Generation'. The Connected Generation refers to anyone born since January 1, 2000. They represent the first generation born into the internet.

At fourteen, Marla was already a bona-fide member of the Connected Generation; she never went anywhere without her smartphone and felt a bit naked without it.
