When the natives of Easter Island realized that with closed borders during the coronavirus pandemic they could no longer depend on tourism for their survival; as a result, they switched to tapu, an ancient Polynesian tradition that is based on protecting their health, their lives, and their elders’ wisdom, with spiritual restrictions and shared prohibitions at its core.

In the long term, COVID-🗿could be a blessing in disguise for Easter Island—which relies so heavily on mainland Chile for food, and its 100,000-odd annual tourists for income—to be self-sustainable and waste-free.

The only hope for the developed countries to prevent their economies from further declining, and for the developing countries to prevent theirs from collapsing, as a result of the pandemic—when vaccination for the population is the solution to economic salvation.

The shortage of Covid-19 vaccines and the poorly constructed vaccine distribution channels in most developing countries only push them to the back of the line in securing billions of shots for their people—when donations via vaccine diplomacy aren’t being helped by poor storage facilities in many developing nations.

When the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered to help the Palestinian authority contain the coronavirus crisis, not really because he wants to, but because it is impossible to separate Jews and Palestinians there—if one group is affected, both sides will inevitably suffer.

In Israel, PM Netanyahu used Covid-🇮🇱 to avoid being booted out of office and to speed up the annexation of significant parts of the Occupied Territory.

A person who wants to cosplay normalcy, whatever the cost. She needs to go back to yelling to the cashier at Kohl's, and she will kill her parents to do so. Is unable to entertain her two large sons, Braelyn and Jailyn by herself, needs them to be able to tell and run around in public again. Her husband is around the house too often, he needs to get back to his work wife. She needs to get her hair done, and is excited to risk the health of her "hair girl" for her own vanity.

I had to go to Target today, and this COVID Karen brought all of her kids to walk the wrong way down the one way aisles. I hope she gets the virus and wishes for the sweet release of death from her bed for 29 days.
