The people involved do not have to be virgins, but to call it a Smash Ball they must have not had any sexual experiences with eachother prior to te encounter. The name comes from most prized item in Super Smash Bros franchise. In the game, getting the Smash Ball allows you to use a killer move that will most likely allow you to win the game.
