Someone who started skating in the last two to three years due to all the Tony Hawk Nine-Hundered craze. They think they're cool and original by hopping on a skateboard and saying they skate, but they're just sheep.

Skateboarding

Well, A long time ago... Cavemen found that if they make wheels and put them on the bottom of a piece of wood, It can be used as a mode of transportation. Later generations took this Idea, and put it to extremes. Making the tails of the wood, or "board", Curve up, This generated 'pop'. and with this pop, the board could successfully leave the ground and return while your feet stay on it. And so skateboarding became what It is today. Generally misguided to only be ridden by punks and outcasts, There are actually alot of good, decent people that ride boards. And to this day, they'll fight to keep the name of skateboarding on a clean slate.

Skater

A skater is now a person who does not necessarily skate but who does wear skate gear. This is not gramatically correct as a skater SHOULD be someone who skates (given the term skater); but the term Skater has become a term used to describe a fashion, a style, a way of behaving, dressing, doing hair etc. There just are people who you look at and say Skater, regardless of whether they skate or do not skate. Sorry all you guys who hate those who dont skate! You realise that makes you as bad as a townie!

1)A skater is person who wears skate clothing- looks and behaves in a particular way; the look being the main factor that defines a 'skater'.
2)A skater is someone who can skate

Ice Skate

When at a party you flood the toilet so the room fills with water and then crank the A/C down as low as it will go. This procedure is best pulled when everyone else is asleep to get as much ice on the floor as possible.

We were at the Lambda party and they kicked us out so we ice skated that bitch.
