roflsaurus

1. Lit. saurian considered emblematic of comedy, esp. puns and internet based humor. The common roflsaurus is known only to legend but is believed to average a meter and a half in height and to consume banned quotes off bash.org. Their mating calls are said to sound like, "Roofle roofle" ergo the name roflsaurus.

2. Denigratory term for a Forensics speech delivery posture. The roflsaurus involves placing a brief on a table and then leaning over it for a delivery punctured by gestures made with clawlike hands.
Bckgrd. One internet savvy coach got annoyed and called a speech-giver "roflsaurus" referencing both his nickname and his position.

roll coal

the act of rollin' coal. When you have a tune on your diesel truck or have turned up the injection pump and you mash the throttle overfueling the engine until the turbo spools up, producing a large cloud of thick black smoke. Its fun to do, but you can't go around doin it all the time as enviromentaists hate us enough already
Did you see me roll coal all over that group of enviromentalist protesting the diesel truck lot?

a phrase from We Built This City, a song from Starship, a band who in previous incarnations had been known as Jefferson Starship, and previously to that, Jefferson Airplane... Some folk despise this song, maybe rightly so, because in their 1960's incarnation as Jefferson Airplane, this band was one of the ones from that era that mattered.

Rock 'n' roll

The music that made it well worth living before the early 1990s.
