Jesus freak

n. Someone who displays an unusual or embarrasing amount of enthusiasm for Jesus.

This term was first used in the 1960's in reference to the growing movement of radical, unconventional Christians who often displayed hippie leanings.

Hey, David, if you dance around like that, people are going to start thinking you're some kind of Jesus freak.

Christian camps and retreats. Usually very fundamentalist and scarry, with the ultimate goal of brainwashing everyone into christian conformity.

A person who helps kids with their issues about life and peer pressure. Ususally this person is very attractive and smart and spiritually deep...like Oprah and Jesus, combined into one fine human being.

when a person (usually christian) acts very religious and self righteous, but it seems like it's fake. They seem to try too hard to show people that they go to church and participate.
