The Marching Rack

A term often used in marching band to describe what is essentially a mobile auxiliary section. Located in the Front Ensemble area, it is often looked down on as it’s considered an easy instrument to play.

Penalty for bringing down the mood in a pub - or other such drinking establishment - by using a laptop and creating a work-like environment. Surrounding drinkers may calmly place coats and scarfs over the offender to contain the office energy, known as coat-racking or simply racking.
