His album Trilogy, that was released in 2012 , consisted of his remixed and remastered versions of his 2011 mixtapes : House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence. Abel got his stage name ‘The Weeknd’ from his high school drop out status. He said him and a friend dropped out of high school at about 17 and left one weekend and never came back home.
