Pentacle

A five pointed inner-connecting star inside of a circle. It is by almost every Religion to resemble something different. Here are some of the basic ones.

Wicca-Wiccans use the Pentacle to represent the 5 Wiccan Elements, Wind, Water, Earth, Fire, and Spirit.

Christianity-Christians wear the Pentacle as a representation of the 5 wounds of Jesus. The 5 wounds were inflicted to Jesus during his Crussifiction. Pentacles in Christian beleifs are used to make Demons run away, or protect the wearer from Satan.

Peganism-Pegans use the Pentacle depending on which Pegan God(s) they worship.

Guy 1:Hey dude, why are you wearing a Pentagram?
Guy2: I'm not, this is a Pentacle, the exact opposite.

pentagram

A five pointed star witha circle around it. These can either be pointing up or down, depending on religion. An upright star is used mainly by wicca, but it was also used as a christian symbol, in christianity its meaning is of the five scars of Jesus. One on each arm and leg and one on his side.The only band to my knowledge that uses this symbol is the hard rock band Godsmack. An inverted star is used in Satanism. It represents either pointing toward Hell or a goats head (depending on how you look at it.) Some heavy metal bands such as Slayer and the newer Drowning pool use this symbol.

pentamnemonic

A mnemonic system based on every 5th item to be recalled. It is quite useful for alert young minds, but can be misused by those in their dotage.

Surprised nobody caught this, but the example for pentamnemonic above explains my concern about seniors employing this technique. If your mouse requires a walker, you might make the same mistake and get it wrong.

I forgot Kaliningrad in the original example, which is a disconnected part of Russia, and inserted Estonia in it's place. Estonia is actually north of Latvia, which borders Lithuania. Its a small planet, and 70% is water. With only 193 countries there's no excuse for misplacing them. Sorry.
