"Sci-Fright" is quite simply a scary science fiction movie. It is one that incorporates not just science fiction elements but horror and terror as well. Some good examples would be the line of "Alien," "Terminator," and "Starship Trooper" films for instance.
"I went to the bijou down the road and saw the very newest Sci-Fright called, "The Brain Eaters Are Coming." It was awesome."

The bright flash makes their skin tone look even, & hides any unsemetric flaws they may have (ie: acne, pot marks, gingervitas). In some cases it can even make the "fright" appear to be smaller in body class. The word "fright" settles in when you go to see the rest of her pictures.
