trylord

A trylord is someone who very much wants to be an edgelord, but fails miserably at it. An example would be someone attempting to be a troll, to be edgy, to get negative reactions, or be overly ironic because they'd like to be seen as some sort of threat, perhaps because they'd like to gain notoriety or maybe credibility with others like them. The fact that they are trying so desperately hard, and that their attempts to do so are so transparent, make them a trylord.

Simone is a trylord. She's always trying to start shit with people in front of her edgy friends, but she's actually embarrassing herself. Everyone knows what she's doing, but she doesn't seem to get that even her "friends" are laughing at her behind her back.

Those inflicted with this mental disorder often exhibit delusions of moral superiority, an insufferable attitude due their self righteous nature, and unjustifiably smug demeanor because of their own overestimation of their knowledge and abilities.
