When one takes a long dump and the turd lays up on the side of the bowl and sticks out of the water.
Dude, I wouldn't use the bathroom for a while, I just shot a layup in there.

Get the lanparty mug.Once upon a time a mexi-stash, and bottle of cheap tequila came together and violently copulated in a very public and grotesque fashion. Seriously. It was friggn gross. There was hair and tequila splattering all over the place in little alcohol hair balls. One of the hair balls later joined the marines. Lot’s of steroids, terrible life life choices, extremely homosexual activities, and a traumatic pogo-stick accident later... the modern “Lanphier” emerged.

Get the lanphear mug.A word for when you are faced with a certain predicament that must be worked around-- more specifically, a situation that is part impasse, part dilemma. It is an event or other such obstruction that prevents you from achieving a certain goal that usually must be puzzled out in some form or another. Good for situations where words like puzzle would be appropriate, but specifically the kind of puzzle to be found in Zelda games.
Not to be confused with holdup, which is a situation that by most definitions is a conundrum that cannot be solved through one's own power. Also not to be confused with laidup, which is to be incapacitated (usually through sickness or injury), though it is related.
