A fat kid pretentious enough to think up a special word to describe their desperate longing for anything to shove down their face. They'll often claim to be "food enthusiasts" or to have "refined tastes," but they're usually lying.

Get the Foodie mug.(noun) A phone call aimed at getting one thing and one thing only. Not an invite to to go out for a movie, not just coffee, not a casual or formal get-together, just a plain old-fashioned "bring me food" with no strings attached.

Ginger: OMG, did you see the pics of Janet Jackson? She made her first public appearance in months and it looks like she gained 100 lbs!
Jasmine: Wow! She must have been at home making Foodie Calls all this time!

Girl: Can you please cook dinner for me tonight for once?

Single Guy: Ugh, all I have in the kitchen is cereal, soup, and beer and I don't want to miss the game on TV! I better make a Foodie Call if I'm gonna eat something decent tonight!

Get the Foodie Call mug.A person who thinks they know everything about food and the origins of food. Usually these people have zero experience actually cooking and also dealing with the stress of a real restaurant environment. They'll create blogs for themselves to create a sense of self worth, often this isn't there real job. These are the same types that hang out at pretentious expensive coffee lounges. They totally destroy a layman's love of food and makes the average person feel like crap for going out to eat.

Get the foodie mug.a sneaky rule of food reciprocation. foodsies occurs when a person states that someone owes them a food/beverage item, and that someone responds with "no, you owe me ____(food/beverage item)." the first person may now call foodsies and the second person does indeed owe them whatever food or beverage item, even if initally, they were just making the food debt up.
person 1: hey, you owe me a bag of cheetoes puffs
person 2: no, YOU owe ME a bag of cheetoes puffs
person 1: FOODSIES, now you really do owe me a bag of puffs.
