The "aerial screw" is a sexual position first created by Leonardo DaVinci in the early 1480s whereby the consenting parties pleasure one-another while in a free fall state with both individuals reaching climax prior to their contact with the ground. Attempts to successfully complete the "aerial screw" are said to be the primary drive behind all of the avionic achievements of the 20th century - up to and including the space shuttle. With the advent of the US space program in the 1950s, the aerial screw has become of increasing interest to NASA and was the primary drive behind coed shuttle missions in the 1980s.
