when a mainstream film producer adapts an original idea/story/novel into a film, but compromises many plot points for the purpose of making money off of the film to a larger more general audience; much of this is in dismay to the original writer who in the end has little control over what happens

author: aw man! what happened to my story? they ruined it completely! this man wasn't supposed to die! and what's with this love triangle?

Hollywood Video

A movie/video game rental place that got its ass kicked by Netflix and Redbox. So now, it's out of business. Blockbuster will soon go the way of Hollywood Video!

Person 1: I'm going to Hollywood Video. Wanna come with me?

Person 2: Hollywood Video went out of business.

Person 1: It did?

Person 2: Yeah, it did! A couple of years ago! Netflix and Redbox kicked its ass. Blockbuster is next!

Person 1: Maybe I should give Netflix a try.

Person 2 (to himself): What an old-fashioned jerk!

TALENTLESS singer whose voice is so crap, strips to sell records, her version of Kiss Kiss sucked, Tarkans version is excellent, so is the Arabic version by Rida and Nina Boutrous(El Bawsi), Holly Valance can not sing, makes some of the worst music, lucky her record company dropped her.
