About 90 % of those who decide to learn how to play the guitar; one who loves one's self. Not to be confused with "guitar player"(the real deal). You can differentiate the guitarists from the guitar players in a few ways...

- The guitarist will nod his head and make smug faces as he
plays his minor pentatonic licks (or any sequence). He may also jump about and/or perform spinning Tae Kwon Do kicks whilst playing.

- The guitarist's ulterior motives for playing the guitar
are: Attention, Sex, Money, and Drugs.

- The guitarist has a propensity to favor quantity over
quality (ex. playing several unnecessary notes), and is
often observed turning his volume up to an obnoxious
level in an attempt to be liked.

- The music they create is banal dog doo.

Not to be dealt with, period.

Guitar Hero Finger

Condition which results from extensive play sessions of Guitar Hero typically over the course of a few days.
The "raw" feeling one gets on the tips of the pointer, middle, and ring finger on their left hand.
In extreme cases of Guitar Hero Finger one or a few blisters may develop.

"Man, I can't even type right now. Had a party over the weekend and I got a serious case of Guitar Hero Finger."

the only video game that chicks don't find absolutely repulsive.. used frequently at parties, and our hi-school hosts yearly competitions between classes. also, real guitarists often bash this game. but after all, that's what it is, a game.

When a person plays the air guitar to any song on the radio that is also on either Guitar Hero or Rock Band.

Dang, ever since my little bro played Guitar Hero, he has been haveing Guitar Hero Syndrome and it's getting annoying.

When we played Almosy Easy by Avenged Sevenfold on RockBand2 Eddy who can't play the RB2 instruments started his daily dosage of being an air guitar hero
