It's gaining popularity has several reasons:
1. Biden's attempt at forcing covid mandates and talk of further lockdowns.
2. Rising gas prices or his self pat on the back on getting $0.02 off.
3. Failed promises to erase school loans.
4. His failure in the evacuation of US military and civilians in Afghanistan.
5. His lies in earlier presidential campaign (stomping out covid, helping the black community while he's actually making it harder for them to work during covid).
6. His mental instability showing more every day in public situations.
Etc.
The more popularity it gains the more far left extremist are trying to condemn it as "hate speech" or change its meaning (look up further definitions in urban dictionary for examples of failed definitions).

When asked by my girfriend at the time how I felt after I shot-up 3 bags of heroin while being dopesick, I replied, "Damn, I feel fuckin mint." The shot of heroin instantly warmed my body and took away any of my withdrawal symptoms. I felt like I was in mint condition. Now, to a small group of local heroin addicts, the phrase "Let's Get Mint," means, let's go score some heroin and get high.
