This is a derisive tactic used to avoid engaging with the substance of what is being said by framing the speaker as irritating, long-winded, and unserious. It implies the person is talking just to hear themselves talk, offering no valuable content, and should be ignored like background static. It's a classic move to belittle and silence opposition without refutation.

Example: In a heated online debate about economic policy, one user posts a detailed, paragraph-long critique. The reply, "Lmao, someone revoke his yapping card already," is a cheap way to mock the effort and detail of the argument without addressing a single point. It's the digital equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and saying "blah blah blah."

1. Of someone who talks excessively to the point where it sounds like a different language.
2. The tendency of heavily narrative-driven JRPGs to subject players to excessively long, meandering stretches of dialogue, exposition, monologues, flashbacks, or backstories that advance the plot minimally (or not at all). This can often last literal hours while characters stand motionless in a room musing and pontificating about the finer points of friendship / fate / the human condition / the true meaning of Christmas / etc.

term used when someone's talking up such a storm the whirlwind of words doesn't even make sense anymore and they just damage your braincells, sometimes permanently
different levels exist, but generally every time someone devolves into a yapnado, it's always an EF5.
EF0: this yap sesh won't fucking stop
EF1: this guy is starting to make my head hurt + EF0
EF2: reversible cognitive damage from yapping
EF3: not so much reversible anymore
EF4: won't shut up, takes your topics and yaps about them too, feeds off of frustrated listeners
EF5: everything above plus the added bonus of permanent cognitive dysfunction and neuron scouring - the yap sesh is so bad your neurons actually undergo apoptosis
