Old Guard

The Old Guard (known as the Consular Guard before Napoleon's coronation) was a part of Napoleon I's Imperial Guard and the most respected military foundation in the Grand Army. Famously, its members were equipped with bearksins hats and contained 2 regiments each of Foot Chasseurs and Grenadiers. They were usually kept in reserve as elite shock troops and rarely used unless to recover a dire situation or to deliver a decisive blow in battle.

Old Guard

A oligarchy of original ABN-Blaks, those who’ve commodified culture, feathered their own nests, thrown down no ladders, spoken for other family groups without consulting them, deceptively excluded others, run community corporations into the ground by diverting income streams to themselves and compromising member integrity to create a state of confusion and division.

Synonym: nation-builders
E.g. 1 the Old Guard are at it again, trying to do Welcomes on Clan Country that isn’t their own, over the top of Clan TO’s who are present.

E.g. 2 The Old Guard’s motto: Profits over Protocols.

Old Guard

The people that saw you through the murky middle. You might not have known them in the beginning, they might not be there in the end, but they acted as the guards, the controls, that paid the light bill inside the tunnel and obscured the distant beam at end.
“He had an angelic afternoon after work when he walked into the tavern and he got to talk to some of the old guard.”
