Computer blocking

When you are working on the computer and get up for a minute, only to find someone else is using it and may have deleted all of your work. This happens a lot with teenagers. The person computer blocking you 65% of the time is using Facebook.

"Great, now I gotta stay up all night tonight and finish this essay because my mom was computer blocking me for 3 hours.

Coffee Blocked

Rushing into an empty coffee shop for the coffee you've been craving and someone that has no idea what they want or has a ridiculous order has managed to squeeze to the counter before you.

When someone wanders into the coffee shop ahead of you, meanders towards the counter at the speed of stupid, and then holds up the line asking for freshly brewed decaf in her go-green mug.

"That bitch just Coffee Blocked me for decaf ..."

Short for "developer's block", a state of mind where a software developer is trying to design and develop a piece of software for a certain purpose, but is struggling to write the necessary code. This is essentially a technical version of writer's block and artist's block.

Manager: Hi, how's the source code for next project coming along?

Intern, almost crying: I- I don't know! I'm so sorry, I'm stuck on the 413th line! This is nothing like any of my classes!

Software Engineer: hey hey hey, relax. RELAX. It's just a little bit of dev's block. You'll be fine. Just take a little break and come back to it later.
