Slackett

Shortened version of common slacks. Popular amongst ageing white collar workers, and Yacht owners; usually worn during warm weather in order to preserve dress codes.

Regularly worn with long socks and loafers, or sandals. This particular item of clothing is often met with derision when confronted by those under 30.

Slack Factor

The ratio of the number of employees in a firm, to the number of Slack channels used by the firm. The higher the Slack Factor, the higher the number of Slack channels per employee, and the lower the possibility of finding that one message you know you just read a minute ago that you needed to respond to.

I just saw a question from Larry, but our Slack Factor is so high, I don't even remember what channel it was in any more. I guess he's not getting an answer.

a mental state where you no longer feel guilty for not having responded to messages your co-workers have sent you on Slack. you reach this state after sheer exhaustion and burn out, typically.

I knew I was contributing so much, and I was on the verge of burn out. The fact that I attained Slack nirvana is helping me stay calm for longer.
