Brian and Jen’s kids are a lot more involved protests about racial equality, gender equality, LGBTQ equality and recognition, and climate change than their parents, grandparents, or their own children are. They also attend more political rallies, watch debates more often, and tend to vote more than their parents, grandparents, or their own children do. They are the politically active generation in the family.

Get the The politically active generation mug.The ability of some individuals, because of certain experiences in their life and or the type of educational background they have, to be able to tell certain things about a person, including their social views, political beliefs, what motivates them, how the person views themselves and those around them, how they will likely handle themselves in certain situations, how to effectively counter their methods if necessary, etc., based on the individual’s attire and behavior in certain places compared to the societal norms about what type of attire people are expected to wear and how they should behave in those places, how they talk about certain topics, what type of public image they try to portray themselves as being, how they handle themselves in certain situations, especially in embarrassing situations, crises, and disagreements, and various other things. It is important to note that not everyone can do this; as these types of evaluations can be rendered inaccurate if the person who does this does not have a decent amount of control over their biases, expectations about how other people behave, is not attentive to detail, and or is not well educated on politics, social norms, and social issues.
Cisco: I wonder why James gets so aggressive when someone disagrees with his political views. He always asserts that he is right even when he is not.
Vulko: Based on what I have observed when I have had to deal with him, he seems to be rage driven because he seems to enjoy having disagreements with people on stuff like that. I also think he does tend to be quite arrogant. He likes to win fights as it boosts his ego, which might explain why he always asserts that he is right.
Cisco: What makes you think he is arrogant?
Vulko: I figured out based on how he dresses more formally when going to various events compared to the rest of his family, which suggests he does seem to have an arrogance streak.
Cisco: You seem to be good at figuring out drives people and what gets them to act in various ways.
Vulko: I have a strong social political sense, which is what allows me to read people.
Cisco: I see.

Get the Social political sense mug.A tactic employed by certain politicians and groups that want to push their political agendas where that group or politician will say and or do certain things related to supporting or opposing specific issues in order to get certain types of reactions from particular populations, interest groups, and or, in some cases, other politicians. They usually do this to get more votes from different populations in society, or to get more financial and or political support from particular interest groups.
Natasha: I heard Senator Murkowski recently gave a speech on how they supported efforts of oil companies to begin drilling in certain parts of Alaska. I’m not sure why she would give a speech like that when she supports moving the country towards using renewable energy sources to prevent climate change, which negatively impacts many populations in her state. I could cost her their support down the line.
Ronald: She maybe employing selective political pressure in order to get more support from certain oil companies and specific Native American communities by appearing to support an issue they care about.

Note that Capital: A Critique of Political Economy is purely criticizing the status quo, predicting its development and pinpointing its problems, while the Manifesto of the Communist Party (or simply Communist Manifesto) offers possible solutions to these problems.
