Tribit

A mentally retard person with down syndrome. Often seen packing your groceries or saying "HEEELLLOOOOOOOO" while you casually try to walk away quickly. Tribits are friendly and always mean well, but are often ignored in order to avoid the awkward uncounter. They enjoy flailing their arms about and shaking random people's hands. Some may even wear those little red propeller hats.

I was scared to make eye contact with the tribit, because I was scared he'd come talk to me.

The last thing I wanted to do was to show that I was friendly. That tribit sitting by me in the food court had his eye on me just waiting to lick my spoon or something.

I just watched out of the corner of my eye as he put the urinal mint in his mouth. I was going to say something but this particular tribit looked like he was capable of beating my ass.

TriBeCa

Neighborhood on the lower west side of Manhattan, TriBeCa is short for Triangle Below Canal. Formerly known as Washington Market, it was home to the food market, including coffee, spices, tea, and nuts. Later, in the early 20th century, textile manufactoring and dyiing also became common there. In the 1960's and 70's, artists began moving into the abandoned factory buildings (built between 1850 and 1890) in the neighborhood. This populated the area and made it resedentail for the first time (and it changed the name from Washington Market to TriBeCa). Robert Dinero moved to TriBeCa, helping it to become the affluent, star-studded neighborhood it is today, as well as making it famous with his "Tribeca Productions" and in 2001, the Tribeca Film Festival. Amoung the exclusive resturaunts and fancy lofts TriBeCa is filled with nowadays, there are many of the original artists who populated the neighborhood still living there. This creates a funny mix in the neighborhood. Also, it's manufactoring history is visable, with some original companies still there, such as Bazzini's nuts and Bellbate's dried goods.

Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. One of - if not the best - hip-hop groups to ever exist. Pioneers of the D.A.I.S.Y. (Da Inner Sound Y'all) genre of hip-hop along with De La Soul. Also a part of the Native Tongues Posse. They forged the gratest hip-hop album of all time (IMO): "The Low End Theory"

Tribble Effect

A phenomenon that occurs when in Star Trek Online, someone pets their tribble, and others nearby proceed to follow suit.

I went into a crowded space, and petted my tribble. Nearly everyone else nearby who had a tribble petted theirs, as well. Thus, the Tribble Effect.
