crumb slumming

The act of digging for, scooping out open palm, or smoothing a bag of chips and pouring it into your mouth in the attempt to devour the chip crumbs/flavor dust while friends/family/coworkers/strangers look on with disapproving eyes at the sight of something they would totally do if no one was watching.

Yo Gary, look at Kate crumb slumming it with that bag of doritos. Apparently the only thing on a diet is her dignity.

Usually an attempt by a teenager to avoid detection of alcohol on their breath.

1. To live poorly, or in below-average quality. Lifestyle that is below widely accepted standards, in terms of health, nutrition and hygeine, safety, and intelligence. Often linked with impoverished lifestyle or frugal living.

2. In stasis, or semi-nomadic state, surviving on bare minimum or below normal standards of living.

Some of the Boston MA WBCN radio guest DJs are known for slumming it in Roxbury.

Young-ish, wealthy parasites feeding off the lifestyles of the urban working classes in order to appear cool or hard. These hypocrites typically hang with their new poorer friends for a while, find out the daily grind isn't exactly what they had envisioned, get bored or scared or tired of having to actually work for once, and then return to their trust funds.
