But usually pronounced completely wrong by substitute teachers. Others are often shocked when they realize this is the name of a white girl and often mock her with more thug-like remixes of Shelaine (such as: Shequan, She-nay-nay, She-fizzle, or Shebang{me all night long}).

You don't want to get on the bad side of a Shelvin - they take revenge to a whole other level, but once you get to know a Shelvin you will see just how sweet and caring they really are. They are loyal to their family and friends and would do anything for them. If you show them respect and treat them well, they will be the most amazing person you've met. Shelvins may hurt your feelings with-ought meaning to, due to blurting out what they think - they are very honest and upfront about everything, but they always apologize, and they're great at hugs :)
