Pull a Noah

(verb) A ridiculous habit of needing to hit 12 hours per night in order to function like a regular human. Anything less results in temporary shut down after lunch and significant decrease in frontal lobe activity.

Person A: Where have you been?!
Person B: Bruhhh, I pulled a noah and only just woke up. What's for dinner?

Pull a Panama

The process of blowing up your boat - or other vehicle - in the hopes of destroying nearby enemies. Also used to mean a risky, last ditch attempt, often involving a sacrifice, to reach a goal. While this procedure is, in fact, named after the South American country, it was not conducted for the first time there. Instead, the first Panama was performed in Nicaragua. Those who performed it simply thought they were in Panama.

Al Giordino: What do you think, Dirk?
Dirk Pitt: Uh... I think we need to pull a Panama!
Al Giordino: A Panama? A *Panama*?
Admiral James Sandecker: A Panama? No! No Panama!

Pull A Kanye

To interrupt someone while they are talking and than using that moment to voice your praise about someone else.

Refers to an incident at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when rapper Kanye West hijacks Taylor Swift's moment (after she won the award for best female video) and using it to praise Beyonce.

Example 1:

Connor: Welcome to Olive Garden, what can I do...
Erick: Yo Connor, I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you finish... but Tanner was one of the best servers of all time... one of the best servers of all time!
Me: Look at Erick pull a Kanye

Example 2:

Cyrus: Dude, did you hear about Andrew... hes in a coma
Chris: Yo Cyrus, I'm sad for Andrew and I'mma let you finish... but Minh was in one of the best comas of all time... one of the best comas of all time!
Cyrus: You just had to pull a Kanye didn't ya?

pull a Hagelmoser

To 'pull a Hagelmoser' is a (roughly translated) traditional, slightly-out-of-fashion German idiom describing a young, dopey person attempting to attend a festivity that already took place a day ago, thus causing amusement witht the irritated hosts who are suprised by the late arrival.

Fritz, what are you doing here? Uncle Hubert's divorce dinner-party was yesterday! You've obviously pulled a Hagelmoser.

Let me check my calendar for your sister's wedding ceremony. I certainly don't want to pull a Hagelmoser.
