As apposed to what is apearently common belief, newb is actually very different from N00b. A noob or n00b is someone who asks stupid questions, to annoy others, or knowingly uses bad spelling/grammar in a *literate thread*. They also usually spam quite often. (online, not e-mails.)

A n00b is someone who is either new to the PC gaming community or just has no skill. They usually blame their lack of skill and/or intelligence on things like lag, hackers, dirt on their screen, ect.

One who is not very good at whatever they play, despite their age. A n00b could be someone who visits a site/plays a video game often and does not know how to use a certain thing, one who joined recently and refuses to listen to advice, or one who types in an annoying way, throws tantrums and gloats. Some spam chain mail.
