Brandering

A pun off of the words “brand” and “pandering”. When a brand with a social media account pretends to be a real person in an attempt to pander to a certain fandom in the hopes that they support said brand by, for example, buying their products.

random food brand: “omg we love harry styles so much we stan!”

an obsessed stan: “im gonna buy (insert brand name food product here) now just cause they pretend to like harry styles!”

a regular person: “silence, brand. stop brandering.”

An abbreviation of the name of famous author Brandon Sanderson. Usually used by lazy book nerds to communicate. People who use the word Branderson unironically usually are the same people who say "RAFO" in their day-to-day life.

courtesy (waiter laugh or bartender laugh) laugh

when a waiter or bartender is working in a very loud bar or restaurant and cannot completely hear what the customer is saying but they start to laugh when they thought it was a time to insert laughter.
also known as a courtesy laugh when a customer says something at all remotely funny so you use the waiter laugh or bartender laugh to make the customer think they are funny.

I was table-side when the family was talking to me and I started using my "courtesy (waiter laugh or bartender laugh) laugh" when Mr. Young told the same story he has told 45 times previously.

Bartender Syndrome

When someone talks to other people as if they actually care about their life. They will usually talk to an individual they have just met for a long time and not even give the other person the time to answer.

Waiter: Is that all you would like today?
Person with Bartender Syndrome: Yes. This reminds me of when I went to Paris and ate some food at an AMAZING restaurant!...

Waiter: IS THAT ALL SIR?!!!
Person: Yes and you are acting like this one person from-
Waiter:Bye Now
