adjective: used to describe the total lack of awareness an affluent person (usually in the upper echelon of the social order and more often than not, a celebrity) has of the reality and the 'norms' of society's working class.

British abattoir worker 1: 'You know Paris Hilton was quoted the other day as saying' (actual quote btw) "I have worked very hard to get to where I am?'

British abattoir worker 2: 'I also heard she said' (another actual quote here) "All British people have plain names, and that works pretty well over there." 'What do you think Augustus?'

My teacher asked if the class could use our Chromebooks to open Google Docs for an assignment, but because I am an Apple Snob, I asked to use my Mac and open Pages instead.

An especially irritating breed of tool, the music snob is a self described authority on what is or is not "good" music. The genre is irrelavant, as music snobs somehow confuse their subjective opinions with objective concrete facts across all genres of music. The music snob is quick to write off your taste in music, and often spout proudly a large number of "better" unknown and/or less "commercial" bands that if you had as good of taste as they did, you would already know about and love. The music snob can be found at low budget local record stores, probably arguing with a clerk about how no good bands cds are for sale. The music snob often prides themselves on their, again, self described "non-conformist" interests, and everyone else is merely a braindead product of MTV. The music snob fails to realize the definition of the word opinion: 1. a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.
2. a personal view, attitude, or appraisal., and instead dilludes themselves into thinking that their opinions are more valid than those of anyone whos differ.

Music Snob: Oh my god, is that (insert band here), they suck, they are totally (insert bizzare music sub-genre) not real (insert music genre). If you werent such a sheep youd listen to (insert 1, to an indefinate number of obscure/unpopular bands).

Person#2: Wow you are one annoying faggot ass music snob, why dont you go choke on a dick and die while listening to (insert a likely crappy band they mentioned) you ass sucking bitch fuck.

Snobby Art Girl

A teenage girl who is obsessed with popular or historic artwork and thinks she knows everything about art, also usually obsessed with early 1920s-1950s fashion and icons such as Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and Betty Paige. Usually are also avid readers but also read only teenage drama-esque works such as Twilight and The Hunger Games and think that they are the greatest books ever written. Known to travel in small to large herds of other Snobby Art Girls.

Guy: Yeah my art class is pretty cool so far, we've been learning a lot about how to draw faces and stuff

Jazz Snob

An annoying or stubborn person whom denies any, or most, kinds of music other than Jazz. Has a self-indulgent illusion of sophistication about himself and, in particular, his tastes.

They are usually 20+ and also fluent in poetry and 'the arts', and are the first to stereotype you, or anyone, and use this against them for the remainder of the said person's life.

In general; extremely obnoxious people whom are indescribably arrogant yet impossible to get through to due to the thick layer of love for themselves they have through their 'sophisticated' yet ironically simple minded taste in music and art.

The term's origin is unknown but it has been seen popping up in lyrics for various works of music across the musical scene;

A good example being in a work by John Zorn (avant garde music) whom composed a song called 'Eat Shit Jazz Snob". The Jazz influence in his music supported the hatred of such people and the level of hypocrisy they carry with them.

Jon: "Hi" *Pulls out earphones*

Jonathan: "What was that you are listening to, some horrible uninspired heavy metal music" *Sigh*

Jon: "Some unreleased compositions by Max Ritcher actually you JAZZ SNOB!"
