The move you should make. "Your play" was what you did, "The play" is what you should have done. Commonly used in turn based games or autobattlers on twitch, but can refer to any kind of game or sport.

Scissors is just wrong. Bart always throws rock, paper is the play.

Derived from the expression, Party N Play, which means injecting or smoking crystal methamphetamine (speed) which is the "party" part, and the "Play" is the uninhibited bareback sex that typically follows.
