Mario Karted

Going from a high placement to a very low placement in a short amount of time due to the randomized items in any kart racing game. The term is most commonly used in the Mario Kart series, it’s namesake, but can also be used in other racing party games like Garfield Kart or Team Sonic Racing.

Person A:Wow, I’m dominating this race!
(Gets hit by Blue Shell)
Person A:Well, that’s OK, I’m still in 3rd, I’ll just come bac-
(Gets hit by Red Shell)
Person A:I’m just in sixth! It’s definitely still winnabl-
(Gets hit by Bullet Bill)
Person A:God dammit. I’m in 10th. I just got Mario Karted.
(Gets hit by Lightning)
(Finishes in 12th)
