wikitrap

When one looks something up on wikipedia, and finds oneself clicking through links to related articles until several hours have passed, tasks for the day not achieved, trains missed, etc. It is implied that one is not longer able to leave wikipedia.

Tends to end up, no matter where one started, with articles about the British Royal Family.

Wikipedi-Odyssey

A wikipedi-odyssey is when, while reading a page on Wikipedia for any reason, you come across a linked word you are curious about and click on it, then on that new Wikipedia page you click on another link, and so on and so on until you realize you have spent several hours on Wikipedia. Sometimes referred to as a "wiki-quest".
Friday I was reading an article about the Higgs boson on Wikipedia and I clicked a link for the Large Hadron Collider, before I knew it I was on an afternoon long wikipedi-odyssey.
