chongo

In Puerto Rico, the word chongo(s) is used to describe a horse whose appearance is that of a fast horse or a stud; but in reality the horse is or behaves the complete opposite.

Very often the word chongo(s) is also used to derogatively describe a man or group of men who do not measure-up to expectations.
