makin' 'em hang

An expression of annoyance or impatience with another person's drama or exaggeration, as in "Quit makin' 'em hang."

Literally refers to low-hanging testicles, although why testicular heft has anything to do with another person's behavior remains uncertain.

Originated among working-class Italian immigrant culture.

An intellecutal science where one makes moves congnisant to moves made during a game of chess, requiring sound reasoning, and a carefully thought-out plan to achieve one's own goals and results. Making moves is the epitome of creating ones on path to success. There moves that are made according to their plan and excituted properly. A plan that works.

I heard she got a promotion, she's making moves.
Wow, he bought a new house. He's making moves.

cube macking

The act of repeatedly stopping by a co-worker's cubicle trying to ask them out on a date by feeding them a lame come-on line. It usually involves the person doing the macking actually leaning on the outside of the mack-ee's cubicle unit so as to make for a more intimate setting, while keeping respect to "boundaries," to ask a non-work-related question rather than coming around to the inside of the person's cubicle to discuss a legitimate, work-related topic.

Alfonso keeps cube macking on Sally to see if she'll go on a date with him; even though he's cube macked on every single woman in the office and they've all said no.

Mackinac Bridge

1. The Mackinac Bridge is a bridge that stretches five miles to unite Michigan's Lower Peninsula, & Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It connects the LP (Lower Peninsula) at Mackinaw City, and the UP (Upper Peninsula) at St. Ignace. It is the worlds longest "total suspension bridge."

2. It is also the only bridge (that I know of) that has a valued name to needy people (such as myself) that depend on food stamps monthly to help meet monthly food needs. Wherein the bridge's name has value to us, is that the State calls our past food stamps a "Bridge Card" now. So in more ways than you'd think this bridge is a link from hard times to better times.

EX: Todd wondered why it was called a "Bridge Card", so he asked the lady at the DHS window and she told him why. She said that it was named after the Mackinac Bridge.

bump mapping

Bump mapping is a kind of texture. The difference between bump mapping and regular texture mapping is that the reflections and lights on a bump mapped 3D model is different from a regular texture.

Two oranges made in 3D Studio Max: Both of them has a polycount on 1000, and is geometrically identical. one of the has bump mapping, one of them has regular texture. The one without bump mapping would look fake, and smooth. The one with bump mapping would have realistic reflections.
