work ethic

The apparently foreign concept (at least in the the U.S.) that people should work hard to get the job done no matter how much they're being paid.

If people in this country had better work ethic, we wouldn't have to outsource and the illegal immigrants wouldn't be "stealing" jobs from us.

When you take your security job to the next level and you do more then just observe and report inccidents, but you regulate and serve justice in a world of injustice. As you serve your duties you realize the it is not a job, but you are doing divine will in your actions.

After I found the mother of the missing child, I realized it felt good to be doing God's Work.

Employee 1: "How's your proposal coming along?"
Employee 2: "No idea, I sent it to the partner 4 days ago and he is ignoring my emails and voicemails and isn't around the office. Feeling the onset of work impotence"

Manager: "Have you gathered everyone's feedback and comments from our presentation?"
Employee: "I've sent emails, and left voicemails, but no replies yet."
Manager: "Ummm, I think you've become work impotent."

Work Hard Play Hard

A person who’s incredibly dedicated to their career and often has more then one job yet never turns down a good time. Their schedule is so crammed with work and social events that they have to pull out a 20lb planner to pencil you in.

Work hard play hard. Alishia. On top of her game, educated, has a full-time career, dedicated mother, plans every detail of her life. She’s so busy that when you text her she will forget to text you back but will call you in a rush on speaker phone on her way to next event or as she’s working on something. (There will always be another person she’s speaking to at the same time) However, when it’s time to go out she will pregame in the car with fireball shots, drop it like it’s hot when her song comes on, and she’s a social butterfly loved by everyone she meets.
