Harry Potter

The book and movie series of our generation. We've grown up with Harry Potter and for the last movie (in two parts) to come out when we're all in college pretty much means it's the end of childhood.
*Title cards from the Deathly Hallows Trailer*

"The Finale of the Worldwide Phenomenon"

"The Motion Picture Event of a Generation"

Me: What will I have to look forward to after this?! *sigh* The end of Harry Potter is the end of childhood.

Harry Potter

To cast a spell upon someone.
A nerdy guy, but he frustrates a lot with himself.
A totally popular made-up celebrity by J.K. Rowlings.
A way to censor curse words.
A synonom for Jesus, but Harry Potter is a very unpopular word to use to describe Jesus, but is a common word to use to describe dicks.
Brother to Moby Dick.
Son of Garfield.
You can replace adjectives that mean the same as: fugly, ugly, fucked, disaster, tornado, in bed, ron weasly, with Harry Potter.

**NOT DEFINITION** Of course, this definition is very true, but it is so ancient that barely anyone uses it anymore, except maybe for a few who remember it by their ancestors passing it down to them from generation to generation.
I'm going to Harry Potter your ass!

Harry Potter

The best books in the whole world. I am one of the most obsessed fans out there and I can tell you this book is nothing like Lord of the Rings! They have two completely different plots.

Twi-hards complain Harry Potter has no love. The central theme is love! Not the teenage love, which isn't real but the kind of sacrificing yourself to create a better world for your kid, or protecting someone, but there is also the romantic type such as the complex relationship between Ron and Hermione.

People who dis the books haven't even read them.

Harry Potter has strong female characters and realistic characters.

Despite being magical, you can actually relate to these charaters because they have both good and bad sides, and the complexity of Snape is more interesting, intense, and developed, than many book series all together.
Harry Potter is such an awesome book!

Harry Potter drunk

Someone who is only fun when they are drunk. When they are not Harry Potter drunk, they are uptight and lame...kind of like the movie.

pull a harry potter

To get drunk and leave the party without saying goodbye, or having anyone notice.
Man in bar #1: Hey, where's Julie? I've looked everywhere.
Man in bar #2: I haven't seen her either. She probably pulled a harry potter. She does that when she's drunk.

Inside a drunk person's head: Im so wasted. I guess I'll pull a harry potter.

harry potter syndrome

A scenario in which the primary protagonist (especially an eponymous one) of a fictional work is one of the least interesting of the main cast. Named after the Harry Potter series of books in which Harry himself is the most uninteresting out the ensemble of characters.
"I was reading a book the other day and all of the side characters had a lot of personality, but the main didn't have any; it was a bad case of Harry Potter syndrome."
