Literally this expression refers to the adhesion of one's penis to one's thigh in an attempt to tame an insurmountable erection. The expression is used figuratively to inform another individual that he or she is exhibiting behavior demonstrative of elevated levels of arousal, excitement, or enthusiasm. The variant "tape it to my leg" is useful when preceded by the phrase "you got me all boned up and now I gotta...", as a way of expressing resentment for an individual who has unduly excited one and left one unsatisfied. Also popularly used in a wilderness setting, or in the absence of tape, "strap it to your leg".

Show A Leg

A naval phrase meaning get out of your rack (bed). Derived from the days when women were allowed to accompany sailors to bed. If the privacy curtains were closed the order "show a leg" would instruct the person to put their leg outside the curtain so it could be determined if the person sleeping was a man (being a sailor) or his partner from the previous night.

The Chief inspected the sailor's berthing a noticed a rack with closed curtains and barked "Show a leg!". The sailor in the rack, who had overslept, quickly hopped out of his rack, threw on his uniform and spent the rest of the day cleaning heads.

Sweep-the-leg

When you do whatever you have to do to win, short of cheating, but playing dirty.

This derives from the final fight of "Karate Kid" where the main character's leg is broken and the evil Sensai instructs his student to "Sweep the leg" out from under him to win.

If the pitcher wants to get past a good hitter in baseball and throws a fastball at his face, making him walk, and possibly taking him out for the rest of the game, that is an example of "Sweep-the-leg"
