The Steel Bell

The Steel bell is a loud, often startling, bell-like sound that goes off in a man's mind when he becomes aroused. Audio-hallucinatory representation of hormones in the brain making it send large amounts of red blood cells to the penis. Similar sensation to ringing ears, but more sudden and lasting only about a second. Most men don't speak about this phenomenon, for they find it highly emasculating to be startled by it. Known in male-targeted meme culture as "the steel bell"
