A a perfectionist and doing things his own way, Alan Kulwicki was the winner of the 1992 NASCAR Winston Cup Championship whilst driving for his own team, beating the best of the best, Bill Elliott, and the son of a legend, Davey Allison. After dying in 1993 in a light aircraft accident, Alan Kulwicki would forever be a legend of NASCAR. A true underdog, if not Underbird, no-one has done what he did before or since.
Alan Kulwicki had won five NASCAR Winston Cup races, 24 pole positions, 75 Top 10 finishes, and one championship in 207 races.
