The Anton-Effect

When a low IQ child ranging from 12-16 comes across alex they fall for his facade as a really smart and nice person, even though in reality hes got the intelligence of a wet sack of pennies.
The Anton-Effect combined with a lack of attention from the parents of the child usually results in alex using the children as talking fleshlights.
Some lucky souls break out of their condition and gain consciousness, thus being healed from their ailment.
It is important to keep in mind not every child is at risk of the Anton-Effect, if the child even has a semblence of self worth and self awareness they usually steer clear and remain normal happy and healthy children.

When a YouTuber in their 30s is exposed for (alleged) child grooming, causing their reputation to take a huge downward spiral and cement them one of the worst YouTubers ever.

Person 1: Oh my god. I honestly cannot believe what is going on right now, first it was Onision and now Colleen Ballinger/Miranda Sings of all people?!?!?!

Person 2: Wow, just wow. Oh, how the Onision Effect repeats itself (when will they ever learn)... -_-

If the hit song 'Money for nothing' by prolific rock group Dire Straits is played at a function, event or gathering, guests are required to shotgun a beverage before the intro of the song concludes. If no cans are available, guests must finish the remainder of their current drink in a timely manner.

The criminal charges, and/or jail time - fails to impeed the star. Instead it enriches the star to an entire new level of fame, money, and like-ability.

the criminal charges didn't hurt trump, they helped him..by reaching a brand new demographic of voters.. we are seeing the Martha Stewart effect in action.
