A section of Pep Squad/Cheerleading that generally consists of a small team of girls and/or boys twirling a pair of flags on a set of small, baton-like poles. They are also known as Short Flags and are very much different from and harder than the larger, slower Colorguard Flags. Pep Flags is an intensive sport where members not only twirl but also do many stunts and mounts, toss flags to each other, and incorporate a variety of dance moves and footwork to fast-paced music.
