Christian Death

An american goth band that was founded in 1979, by Rozz Williams, in Los Angeles Califorina. They were a remarkable band, until Rozz left the band and guitarist Valor Kand, kept the name Christian Death after promising to change it. Valor destroyed the band, that was once the child of Rozz's genius.

Death Panel

1. A panel of bureaucrats whose task it is to examine everyone needing medical attention and decide who gets denied healthcare. Used as propaganda to scare old, confused, ignorant people into opposing healthcare reform, despite not actually existing in the bill.

2. Something that every health insurance company employs in order to cut costs.

Conservative #1 "I heard Obama wants to set up death panels to kill every baby and old person."

Conservative #2 "Death panels?! I hate that socialist. By the way, how's the cancer treatment coming?"

Conservative #1 "Not good, my insurance company dropped me because they don't want to cover it"

Death Grunt

A vocal style, mostly used by death / black metal bands. It is a very deep guttural sound, made from the back of the throat. Bands such as Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel use it as their sole vocal style, while bands like Opeth, In Flames and Dimmu Borgir use it alongside a more melodic singing voice.
Not to be confused with the Screeching, with is used by bands such as Darkthrone and Cradle Of Filth (who also use death grunts).

The new Paradise Lost record has less of the death grunts that filled their early work.
