I'm not advocating for a preemptive culling of the elites whose inaction is leading to this outcome.... But that's kind of off-brand for me... We should not be made to sit idly by while people who are blatant liars and despots drive us off of a cliff. The 'checks and balances' put into place are no longer sufficient. If we have no recourse for the failures of democracy, then why should we allow ourselves to be governed over?
