Common App

The seemingly endless application most colleges use. Signs that's it's due: procrastination, senioritis, and winter. May cause: frustration, writer's block, and heavy unhealthy amounts of stress.

Most student have yet to fill out their Common App for college.

commode code

Also an EMS slang term for heart problems caused by straining on the commode.

When the vagus nerve which is attached to the brain stem and stomach is squeezed hard enough by straining to potty, it may send a person into cardiac distress with a much slowed heart rate, sweating, nausia and vomiting. This happens mostly with the elderly, thus the reason it is refered to as "commode code".

jefferson commons

A nicer version of the dorms. This is where students go expecting more freedom from the dorms, only to be disappointed by a security force, second only to the KGB in fairness and Homer Simpson in intelligence. More rules here than at Grandma's house, except Grandma treated you more like an adult when you were 5 than the staff treats you now. More Ghetto people per square mile here than anywhere in Sactown.

Jefferson Commons Apartments are the worst ever.

tragedy of the commons

The unfortunate predicament caused when a public resource, such as a natural resource like land or game, is consumed by everyone but maintained by no one.

Everyone feels they have the right to consume because they are part of the public, but no one feels it their responsibility to maintain it because they are not individually accountable.

comfort food

A completely vague term that means nothing, but can be, and is, applied to just about anything you put in your mouth. Used by restaurants as a buzz word to make you think that they will heal you instead of just feeding you.

"A potato is a comfort food? What's comforting about a stupid potato?"
