Its brainwashing power has promoted, and influenced, the minds of millions of people to engage in numerous nefarious acts throughout history, such as religious intolerance (especially antisemitism), slavery (especially since the Bible was used to justify enslaving the black race), murder, rape, the Inquisition, the Holocaust, the Witch Trials, numerous "holy wars", the genocides of millions of Native Americans throughout history, 9/11, dying for nothing (martyrdom), etc. THE LIST GOES ON.

The belief in a higher power than the ones we can notice here on earth, this belief always comes with responsibilities to the god(s)/goddess(es) you worship. These responsibilities are passed on to other people by tales or are written down in a holy book. Religions can vary a lot, but they usually all consist immortality after death. In many religions people must make sure of a sacrifice to his/her/their god(s)/goddess(es), this may vary from nuts, fruit, vegetables, etc. to sacrificing animals or even other humans.

Anyone who takes a religious belief to the extreme and attempts to push their beliefs on others. The religion could be that of a strong atheist, or strong theist such as Christian but includes all deities. Both religions are beliefs. Atheism is considered probable by supporting evidence, but takes a leap of faith by considering it as fact. Theism is not supported by evidence, although a theist accepts all scientific evidence, but adds spiritual experience by taking a leap of faith that there is some sort of deity. Most people that don't push beliefs are agnostic, weak atheist, or weak theist.

You are just as much as a religious zealot as they are.
