Under the Umbrella

A general term to refer to someone who is lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, questioning, intersex, etc. The degree of how far "under the umbrella" a person is indicates the extent of their homosexuality; for instance, someone who is bi-curious would be described as a little under the umbrella, whereas a flamer would be deep under the umbrella.

Jesse (in Forever 21): That guy is so far under the umbrella, you can't even see his head.

Jef (in Forever 21): I'm pretty sure every guy here is at least half under the umbrella.

umbrellical cord

The short, narrow strip of fabric attached to the outside of an umbrella. When used, it furls and tidies the fabric into neat folds and keeps it from flapping, taking up space and wetting those around it. Often it has a snap on the end that connects with its mate when the cord is in use. More modern umbrellas use Velcro instead of a snap.

Sue: Hey, use your umbrellical cord, man, that umbrella is all dripping on me.

Pete: Sorry, I can't, the snap ripped off and I can't afford another one right now.

Small umbrella

Performing a small umbrella involves three or more individuals in a sex act. The man or one of the men in the situation uses their erect penis as a “small umbrella” to shield another’s face from the third, or more, person’s ejaculate.

The term was recently popularized in the show Schitt’s Creek where the character, Moira Rose, feared her series of “tasteful nudes” were leaked on the internet. One of the search terms of the photos was Small Umbrella.

Person 1: I’m so glad he did a small umbrella. I don’t like getting it in my eye.
Person 2: so jealous.

Black Umbrella

Military grade marijuana developed by the U.S. government in the early 1990s. It was believed by military intelligence that the mellowing effects of this particular strand was so potent, that introducing it into the Somalian drug supply would effectively cause the guerrilla fighters to lose their motivation to fight. Unfortunately this proved ineffective, because smoking it gave the guerrillas such a powerful case of the munchies that they began raiding nearby towns to obtain snacks, violently stealing millions of dollars worth of U.N. food relief. The events of this particular conflict were chronicled in the film "Black Hawk Down."

In recent years Black Umbrella has become available on the U.S. drug market, although due to its reputation of potency it's usually avoided by anyone other than experienced stoners and dumb rich teenagers who don't know better.

Gunter: "Hey Miley, I scored some Black Umbrella! Want a toke?"

Miley: "Just give me that blunt and I'll last all night! I wish I had like, 500!"

Shit Umbrella

It's the unofficial title for the person/role above you at work, who takes the heat from management/owners.

This individual takes the shit, while the people below him/her are shielded from management's crap, trouble, finger pointing, etc..

"I'd like to apply for a higher paying, more senior position at the office, but I wouldn't want to end up being the shit umbrella for the whole department".
