midnight tragedy

This is used to describe what happens when a man tries to have sex with a woman in the middle of the night and accidentally misses his intentional target and instead ends up trying to get in the outdoor.

Note on usage: The "accidentalness" of the midnight tragedy is debatable depending on the situation.

Bill: "Wow, you were pretty hammered when you left the bar last night. How'd the evening turn out?"

Jack: "So so. I had a midnight tragedy with Sarah when I got home. She wasn't happy."

Red Water Tragedy

A NE Ohio based rock/metal band. Founded by Subtle End singer/guitarist Paul Galloway and drummer Tory Page. They were soon joined by guitarist James Holsopple and bassist "Sandy" RimRocker. Due to creative differences the band parted ways. Months later Galloway and Page reunited and brought in another bassist. John Dobosh filled in for a couple months before leaving to join another band. At that point long time friend Shaun Stiwald stepped in and joined the band as a bass player. Up until that time he had been playing guitar but made the switch to join the band. RWT can be found playing local clubs in the NE Ohio area at this time. Tragedy Beacon

An individual who can't wait to talk about personal or widespread tragedy. In the old days, this was the town gossip who called everyone ASAP to spread the bad news. In the digital era, it can include using social media (status updates, tweets, etc.) to be the first to comment on bad news. Often done under the auspices of being concerned or "united", but invariably comes off as just being morbid, showboating douchebag/douchbaguette.

Joe: Did you see her tweets about the funeral this morning?

Dave: Yeah. What a tragedy beacon.
