Useless Textbook

A phrase used by parents of, or by, a failing student when referring to their shitty grades. Usually because they refuse to admit that said student is a lazy bum who won't study. Usually these students are "special".

Mr. Lala: Well, Mrs. Smith, to be frank, Billy has a 28% in my chemistry class.

Mrs. Smith: What??! That's some load of crap, Mister! I mean, look at his textbook! It's useless! It's a useless textbook!

Mr. Lala: ...But he doesn't even pay attention in class. And all of his homework is incomplete.

Mrs. Smith: I'll have your job for this!!

Text Block

While in class or an important meeting where texting is prohibited, one uses a book, wall, backpack, person, etc blocking the view of you texting from the teacher/instructor.

Ryan: "He Sally, I need to use your backpack as a text block."
Sally: "Ok, just don't make it obvious!"

Text Block

This happens when the girl you like is with another guy. So, in order to make sure that guy does not get with the girl you like, you constantly text message the girl. If you get a reply, you have just successfully text blocked another guy.

In the following situation, Guy2 has successfully text blocked Guy:

Guy: Hey, lets go back to my place.
Guy2(from a different location): *Sends text message to Girl: Hey, lets hang out.*
Girl(to Guy): Ok...sure, but hold on I just got a text from Guy2. *She replies: I can't, I am with another guy.*
Guy2: *Text message 2: Is he chill?*
Girl: *Text message 2: Nope, i dont really like him too much, lets hang out later.*

However, in the following situation, Guy2 has failed to text block Guy.

Guy: Hey, lets go back to my place.
Guy2(from a different location): *Sends text message to Girl: Hey, lets hang out.*
Girl(to Guy): Ok, let go. *Gets a text message and pays no attention to it.*

textbook ghetto

A person that acts EXACTLY as how the media depicts people living in the inner city community. Unlike "a textbook case of ghettoism," textbook ghetto is usually seen in teens that are living in suburbs or upper high class neighborhoods who have never stepped foot in a ghetto; and is mostly the exaggerated version of the actual, since the media distorts reallity.

Chris: Hey! Why is John wearing extra baggy pants below his wang, Air Jordans, long plain white t-shirt, and a big cap?
Neal: Damn it! He must've caught that bug that's going around: textbook ghetto.

1) Your teacher is too boring to listen.
2) You can't understand your teacher.
3) You don't go to class.
