Slang

What slackers use when they are too fat and lazy to type an actual word out themselves. Some types of Slang consist of LOL, TTYL, WTF, ROFLMAO, and even the occasional: OMFGYSSILYSFMWYMMRNBCILYSFM! meaning, OH MY FUCKING GOD YOU'RE SO SEXY I LOVE YOU SO FUCKING MUCH WILL YOU MARRY ME RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I LOVE YOU SO FUCKING MUCH! I'm not sure why people are so lazy, but when they use Slang you know they don't feel like talking to you.
"LOL OMG U R SO FNY!"
"Dude, why the Slang? Do you even want to talk to me?
"NT RLY, BUT ITS OK!"
"Well, if you're going to sit here and Slang like that, I don't even wanna talk to YOU!"
"K TTYL ILY"
"Whatever..."

Slang

The natural progression of language by means of:

1.) Abbreviation (bro from brother)
2.) Word reversal (cool and hot for good)

3.) A need for secrecy (dime bag for $10 of pot or 1/10oz of weed)
4.) Degree of separation (green for marijuana)

5.) Expressed honorific (calling a close friend your brother)
6.) Combination (Branjalina for Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie)

7.) Any other word not recognized by the major dictionaries as viable, but which a large portion of the population will understand the meaning of.
Though he did not allow slang to be used in his classroom, Prof. Smith was known to call his students "dude", "man", and "bro" outside of class in a feeble attempt to regain some of his lost youth.

Slang

"The grunt of the human hog (Pignoramus intolerabilis) with an audible memory. The speech of one who utters with his tongue what he thinks with his ear, and feels the pride of a creator in accomplishing the feat of a parrot. A means (under Providence) of setting up as a wit without a capital of sense" (Ambrose Bierce. The Devil's Dictionary. 1911).

Slang

Slang is an abbreviation of the word Street-Language, taking the "S" from the word Street and "lang" from the word Language. The word "Slang" itself is thus a prime example of Slang, because it's how people on the street refer to "street-language" without pronouncing the entirety of the word. Slang is used to abbreviate and facilitate the pronounciation of formal words and can be used as a lingo which seperates them from people not knowing (a particular) slang.
Example of slang: a common word such as "jewellery" is referred to as "ice" or "bling bling" in slang.
