To give advance notice to an employer that one will no longer be employed. Tradition ended once millennials were grown.
I would give a two weeks notice but I’m a millennial and don’t know how so I’ll just quit today via text message.

When the police show up at a Puerto Rican woman husband's workplace to inform him his wife filed a restraining order against him. The husband is informed by the police that he is to not have any contact with his wife or go near his home. He may only return to pick up his possessions with a police escort.
It does not matter the race or ethnic background of the husband only that his wife is Puerto Rican. This is usually a ploy to get the husband out of the house and force him to pay his soon to be ex-wife's living expenses while she shacks up with the brother of her husbands friends ex-wife. Then she files for divorce.

A friend of Julio's ex-wife brother's been banging Julio's wife so he got a Puerto Rican eviction notice.

Boss 1: Where's that new guy? He hasn't been here for like 2 days?
Boss 2: Well, he called out like 3 days ago, which was probably his Floridian 2 week notice

In the age of telecommuting, an e-mail message sent either early in the morning, or late at night, with the subtle intent of revealing the fact that the sender was logged on and working at the time the message was sent, hidden within the context of a more "official" looking message.
(an example "notice me e-mail")

When someone gets friendzoned but doesn’t accept the rejection properly because the other party is already in a relationship.
